Our Beginnings

In 2008, after 25 years of working in both the private and public sectors, Kelly Miller, Founder and CEO, identified a gap in services which led to the development of Fairfax Community Inc.

Fairfax Community Inc. began with one person who was challenged to find supports. By focusing on creating individualized, person-centered support plans, combined with providing customized living environments, Fairfax Community Inc. quickly built a reputation in Winnipeg as an agency of choice for many adults living with intellectual disabilities.

Data-Driven Support

Documentation is taken on a number of different areas of health and wellbeing, including meals, sleep, medication, social and community engagement, challenging behaviours, etc., to guide measurable goals and clear outcomes.  The support we provide to others uses this information to ensure that changes, including medical interventions such as medications, have the desired results in order to provide the people we support with the best care and advocacy possible, supported by empirical information.
